Bird of Paradise

(Sterlitzia Reginae)

The Bird of Paradise prefers bright light all day, with periods of direct sunlight.

The plants prefer warm locations. Temperatures of 68-72 F during the day, and 50-55 F airing the night are ideal.

A uniformly moist soil, not soggy, is preferred in the summer months. In the winter, decrease the water supply slightly. Drain the excess water in the saucer at the base of the pot to prevent root rot and to protect furniture.

Key tip for success: The Bird of Paradise plant blooms more frequently when it is root bound, meaning, kept in a pot.
