The Sago Palm prefers a bright diffused light with no direct sun.
In the summer months the palm prefers to be kept in a warm location. In winter keep the plant near 54-59 F
A uniformly moist soil, not soggy, is preferred in the summer months. In the winter, decrease the water supply slightly. Drain the excess water in the saucer at the base of the pot to prevent root rot and to protect furniture. Let the soil dry out slightly in between waterings, but not completely.
Key tip for success: The Sago Palm performs very well with guano or dries cow manure as fertilizer. The plant is also very toxic if consumed.
