For a scheffalera plant select a location with moderately bright light. Protect the plant from direct sunlight in the summer; place near a sunny window in the winter.
A moderately moist soil is preferred for a scheffalera. Water thoroughly only after soil is dry to the touch. Avoid over watering; do not allow plants to stand in water. Drain the excess water in the saucer at the base of the pot to prevent root rot and protect the furniture.
Scheffalera plants prefer temperatures that are warm; 70-72 F (21-22 C) daytimes and 65-70 F (18-21 C) nights. Avoid excessively hot and cold areas.
