For a corn plant, select a location with moderately bright light. Protect the plant from direct sun in the summer; place near a sunny window in winter.
A moderately moist soil is preferred. Water thoroughly only after soil is dry to the touch. Avoid over watering; do not allow plants to stand in water. Drain the excess water in the saucer at the base of the pot to prevent root rot and protect furniture.
Corn plants prefer temperatures that are warm; 70-72 F (21-22 C) daytimes and 65-70 F (18-21 C) nights. Avoid excessively hot and cold areas.
Fertilize corn plants periodically, following the manufacturer’s directions.
Key tip for success: Provide good light and avoid water-logged soil
