A moderately low light is preferred for a chinese evergreen. It prefers partially shaded conditions.
A uniformly moist soil is preferred. Water the chinese evergreen thoroughly as soon as soil feels dry to the touch. Drain the excess water in the saucer at base of pot to prevent root rot and to protect the furniture.
Moderate temperatures are ideal: 65-70 F (18-21 C) daytimes and 60-65 F (15-18 C) nights. Avoid excessively hot or cold areas.
Fertilize the chinese evergreen periodically, following the manufacturer’s directions.
