The Spider plant will tolerate a variety of bright light conditions.
It prefers room temperature all year long, but will tolerate a semi-shaded area outdoors in spring and summer.
A uniformly moist soil is preferred. Water it thoroughly as soon as the soil feels dry to the touch. Drain the excess water in the saucer at the base of the pot to prevent root rot and to protect furniture.
Fertilize the Spider plant periodically according to the manufacturer’s directions.
Key tip for success: When the roots of the Spider plant grow about the rim of the plant’s pot, repot it with all-purpose potting soil.
